Brittany Murray will join FiT (Fitness Information Technology) Publishing in the College of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences International Center for Performance Excellence as an editorial assistant.
“Brittany has a unique background through her education and work experiences that will bring a fresh perspective to our processes,” Kassi Roberts, FiT Publishing managing editor, said. “We are excited to have her onboard and welcome her to CPASS.”
Murray, previously a communications specialist in the West Virginia University John Chambers College of Business and Economics, will prepare manuscripts, develop marketing materials and oversee textbooks and journals through to publication. Before joining the Mountaineer family, Murray was a journalist for multiple statewide media outlets including West Virginia MetroNews, The State Journal and The Exponent Telegram.
Murray holds a master’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and is currently a graduate student in the WVU integrated marketing communications master’s program. She is pursuing specializations in both higher education marketing and digital/social media.
A native of Frostburg, Md., Murray now calls the Mountain State home and lives in Fairmont. When not working, she enjoys reading, binge-watching TV and movies, spending time with family and friends, and playing with her dogs, Rosie and Ranger.
