Carmen Fullmer has joined FiT Publishing in the International Center for Performance Excellence at the College of Human Applied Sciences as an editor.
Fullmer earned her bachelor's degrees in English and communication, and her master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from WVU. She has worked as a technical writer, grant writer, and editor. She previously worked in the disability field as an accommodation consultant and assistive technology specialist.
“Carmen has a unique point of view from her education and work experiences that will bring a fresh perspective to our processes,” Kassi Roberts, FiT Publishing managing editor, said. “We are excited to have her on board and welcome her to CAHS.”
Fullmer will manage the publication of scholarly journals Sport Marketing Quarterly and International Journal of Sport Finance, prepare manuscripts, develop marketing materials, and assist in textbook publication.
“I am enthusiastic about learning FiT Publishing’s processes for developing and publishing educational materials from start to finish,” Fullmer said. “Creating resources that can help people help themselves has been a genuine goal of mine for a long time.”
A native of Morgantown and a lifelong Mountaineer, Carmen enjoys acting, narrating, reading, taking pictures, and riding her bicycle when she is not working.
