The CPASS Office of Student Success welcomes Lyndasia Jones as the new program assistant. Jones will support recruitment and retention efforts, development and delivery of student newsletters and help with NCAA certification processes.
Jones, originally from Wilmington, Del., earned her RBA from the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences in 2019, with an emphasis in advertising and a minor in sport and exercise psychology. She is currently studying for her Master’s in Sports Management at Wilmington University.
“As a former CPASS student, I’m very excited to return to the office in a supportive staff role. I’m a huge fan of full-circle experiences and I can’t wait to work with OSS to give students the same great experience I had,” Jones said.
Jones says that she appreciates that WVU and Morgantown blend together to create a large school with a small school feel. “Even though we’re 20,000 plus students, I still get the charm and politeness of living in a small town,” she explained.
In the future, Jones envisions working in a role that helps athletes develop personal and professional goals beyond their athletic experience.
Prior to joining CPASS, Jones served as the academic life counselor at McDaniel College where she helped students overcome academic challenges and transition into a healthy college experience. Previously, she was a strategic communications consultant for Pritchett Associates, focusing on marketing and communications strategies for various K-12 and post-secondary schools in the mid-Atlantic.
Her passion for sports includes the Cincinnati Reds. “I love traveling to different ballparks across the country,” Jones added.
